Durham Partnership

Beginning In March of 2018 the “Omaha in the Anthropocene” exhibit will go on public display a The Durham Museum. With all of the objects having been drawn exclusively from The Durham’s own archives, the exhibit will be a unique display of artifacts. Some of these items will hardly seem out of place in your own home or place of work, while others will have seen their last use well over 10,000 years ago. Yet, all of these items, no matter how diverse, ancient or obscure have a common story to tell. Evidence of the dawn of the “Age of Man,” the Anthropocene, and its ties to our local community can be found in each and every one of these unique and interesting objects. 

Throughout the exhibit students work will be showcased, however, the exhibit's existence also owes a good deal of gratitude to the museum, its curators, Dr. Adam Sundberg, and the Creighton University Center for Undergraduate Research. Without these entities collaborative efforts the exhibit would not have been possible.
